T.A. Forsberg, Inc.’s Brand Gets a Refresh
Rebrand to aid in launch of company’s new Smart Growth approach to development; commitment to mid-Michigan and the community remains
Okemos, MI – T.A. Forsberg, Inc., a leading mid-Michigan commercial and residential development firm, has recently undergone a rebrand of its company. The modern, clean design of the new brand elements reflect the company’s continued commitment to enhancing the communities they serve and will support the organization in the pursuit of new business opportunities.
“At T.A. Forsberg, we’ve always been committed to enhancing the quality of life of our community. We’re now focused on a Smart Growth approach to development which places the emphasis on creating a sense of place. Our desire is to create a mix of innovative and wholistic commercial and residential spaces that inspire growth and encourage a sense of community,” said T.A. Forsberg, Inc. President, Brent Forsberg.
Forsberg will continue its 60-year tradition of buying and selling commercial and residential properties, while also focusing on Smart Growth community development with a goal of building a community from within. Forsberg relies on its longstanding relationships with the communities it serves in order to be able to successfully move in this new direction.
“Brent is genuinely compassionate about how to assist our community because he knows our success will be his,” said Deborah Stuart, city administrator for City of Mason. “As someone with experience with numerous developers, Brent stands out due to his focus on positioning the community for the future with his development and how much he cares about the ultimate success of the community even after his development is complete.”
Forsberg’s new brand maintains the company’s history while also expanding its appeal to new audiences. Currently, Forsberg is working to develop and implement several new projects that include Smart Growth design which offer new options for the community to engage residents, businesses and visitors alike.
Forsberg plans to create micro communities, or properties with a “resort-style” flair, where residents can live, shop and dine while building community at the same time. These properties include a variety of living options with adjoining spaces for retail such as grocery stores and restaurants, along with amenities such as an outdoor theater and access to existing walking and biking trails. Forsberg’s latest project, Elevation Okemos, will be built west of the intersection of Okemos and Jolly Roads. This $67 million project broke ground in January and will include eight three-story apartments with roughly 400 units. One of the buildings will include retail space on the first floor along with the complex’s clubhouse and fitness center.
Another project which incorporates Smart Growth design is called Tembo, which means building stronger communities while providing unique living opportunities to area residents. This project creates efficient spaces without subtracting from a higher quality of life. With an emphasis on luxury installation, Forsberg plans to plant these 600-square-foot, one bedroom homes into preexisting neighborhoods to strengthen the areas in which they exist. Its compact design is prime for anyone who lives a big lifestyle with minimalistic needs. Rent for the homes, depending on their size and amenities, is expected to range from $600 to $850 a month.
The first Tembo home was built in REO Town and completed in May. The company’s goal is to build up to 50 Tembo homes over the next two years in REO Town, on the city’s east side near the Michigan Avenue corridor and in other areas that have available lots.
“Beyond our projects, it is a personal passion of all of Forsberg’s employees to build Lansing and mid-Michigan into a place with an even higher quality of living,” said Forsberg. “We are excited about the direction the company is taking and are looking forward to serving the greater Lansing area for decades to come.”
